Employment Termination Lette - When writing your notifications of dismissal, include some
When writing your notifications of dismissal, include some simple, and obvious, details. The employee reprimand memorandum is part of the progressive discipline program you must use before sacking any worker. o Employer drastically changed the job duties for the employee. You should print it on company letterhead. o The jobholder has worked for you for 5 years or more. At times, the jobholder cannot get along with their coworkers, displays bad behaviors towards the employer or just cannot do the job. This can lead to a legal action for the business and the employer.
o Supervisor's expectations and training needed. Speak directly to your employee and make them understand they must change their behavior. Undoubtedly depending on the circumstances, you may eventually have to fire the jobholder if their illness becomes a permanent condition that will not allow them to return to work. Undoubtedly, if you're laying off the employee due to the company's financial difficulties or because of downsizing, you should explain this as well. This should include a separation memorandum. You must treat the difficult individual with respect before, during and after the layoff. These will come back to haunt the fired worker in her unlawful termination case. o Vandalism and destruction of property (firm's, coworker's, customer's, supplier's).
